Re: ArchLabs Linux

@dhlagren, I think its almost mandatory to test it out isn't it?

@S11, that's a more accurate description.

@Nili, thanks my friend.

@S11, like a rolling stone.  LOL, can you direct me to the this glow-in-the-dark code please smile

@obscurant, thanks for that.  We have seem some pretty toxic reactions out there but it has mostly been positive.

I'll bet it's mostly diehard Arch users who don't like to have their i3 preconfigured.

Re: ArchLabs Linux

Thanks to Dobbie & Co for taking ArchLabs the "Minimo" route. Great to see it tuned in to a more #! thing,  like the original BunsenLabs.

A real delight to get aquainted with, and the best reason so far to get me to try something Arch based. smile

Keep BunsenLabs #!yish please.

Thanks Dolly.  This was our original vision which got a little distorted along the way.  Nevertheless we are back on track.

Re: ArchLabs Linux

Hi Dobbie,

I have downloaded the ISO and would like to give it a try. Before I install, I have one question:

I will be installing on a clean external HDD (1TB WD Elements, UEFI- GPT partition table formatted). Is there any specific installation guide I can refer to? Does the minimo ISO support UEFI-GPT installation? smile

Hi Eon,

There is no install guide, Calamares is simple enough to not need one. You can specify your partition and format in Calamares.

Currently at 27th for the month (BL is at 123). Amazing for an Openbox-based desktop. Your installer must be first rate.

Maybe they like more than just our installer smile  LOL

In all seriousness though, the reception to AL has blown us all away.  Its bloody great to see.

Re: ArchLabs Linux

Hi Dobbie,

So I am trying to install AL with Calamares as you suggested, and while I am trying to install it on my external HDD (/dev/sdb) and I have made the required partitions, but why it tries to write EFI partition to (/dev/sda) lol?
It should write EFI partition to my external HDD right?

IMG_20171017_1456062.th.jpg

Edit: /dev/sda is where my Windows 10 is installed. So I thought before I install, I'd better ask the guru here, because I would not want to risk borking my Windows 10 setup. Peace.
