Alex was a complete one-off. I wish more people had heard his music.

B.B. King - How Blue Can You Get - Single by B.B. King
Whenever I listen to this song, I remember his broken guitar string.
The blues legend continued to sing while trying to fix the string.
I was able to find this on youtube.

I like that one too. I also didn't realise that it's one of the first uses of the word "L7" (meaning "square") in the lyrics - Paul McCartney also uses the word in the Wings song C Moon;

Yes. I remember the day after he died, going into a pub (bar for Americans) at lunchtime and putting this song on the jukebox;

@Colonel Panic, ohh man what an awesome selection. I haven't thought of that band in years!
Here's another one... I Don't Like Mondays -Boomtown Rats

Unfortunately, written in response to one of my Country's psychopathic proclivities of school violence. When will the madness ever stop?

Cream - Badge, live at the Albert Hall in 2005. Have to admit I prefer the studio version although this is still good;

Edit: just listened to the rest of Cream's "Goodbye" album. Really excellent musicianship even if some the tracks went on a bit ("I'm So Glad" especially). I much prefer Clapton from this era to his later "Slowhand" days.
