Hello,
I'm not sure i'm posting in the right place.
I'm having an issue with my log out. I can suspend, power off but can't log out. I'd rather say it logs out but the screen to log in again doesn't appear at all. I can't do nothing unless power off with the button and reboot.
I have to mention that i just migrate from lithium to beryllium. I just changed the source lists to do.
Thanks for your help,
David.

It sometimes takes a very loooooooong time to log out a session, in the order of many minutes.
Since it is a log out you are asking, it should be possible to switch to a different VT and log in with root / another user to see what is halting the system from logging the original user out. You could also open a second console session before asking for log out and follow the process from there.
I've seen many times it's a ghost second session out of nowhere.
For me it will eventually log out, YMMV.

Thanks but I don't think it's the point. I'm out in a second. It's just that my log in account doesn't appear at all. I just have the backscreen and the mouse moving. Nothing else. No right click... nothing.

I've split this issue into its own thread because I don't think it's related to bl-exit.
There have been issues in the past with black login screens, for example:

Does switching to another TTY help?
