When I point the USB flash drive containing the Beryllium Beta ISO to the USB hub and proceed with the installation, After selecting the language and keyboard, the following screen is displayed and the installation cannot continue.
(The installer can take a screenshot, but I just couldn't save the image. So it's a smartphone shot)
Both 32-bit and 64-bit encounter this bug
Lithium ISOs do not encounter this bug.
#!++ ran into the same bug. I therefore suspect a bug in the Debian install base.
Debian netinstall does not encounter bugs
The current workaround is to use netinstall or connect the installation USB flash drive without going through a USB hub and proceed with the installation.

I don't understand what you do... I am used to hit F12 or F8 to choose device to boot from.

You have found that installing works ok, when attaching usb-stick directly to computers usb-port.
Did you follow the recommendations howto write iso to usb-stick?

Forum "Bugs reports", is for reporting bugs in Bunsenlabs. Not for reporting bugs in Debian. I move your post to "Help & Support (Other)"
Your problem seems to me to be related to your hardware (the Hub).

Please read before requesting help: "Guide to getting help", "Introduction to the Bunsenlabs Lithium Desktop" and other help topics under "Help & Resources" on the BunsenLabs menu

rbh, First of all, I would like to thank you for supporting BL for so long as a moderator.

Oh, I'm sorry if you didn't understand my poor English. I use web translation... Pure Japanese people are weak in English. Still, it's nice to be able to post on English forums these days.
Still, you posted without understanding me properly... Please note my forum registration date. as you seem to have registered after I was inactive. I've been using it for a long time since #! Yeah, I have successfully installed with netinstall. I'm no newbie.
Because this forum is not accepting new user registrations now. Also, BL is currently before the release of Beryllium, You have to understand that the users posting now are really BL enthusiasts. Real newbies will come after the Beryllium release.
Carefully check the user's skill first. The next few months it really matters. Because the number of BL supporters will change depending on the response.
p.s. Oh I couldn't get the helium... 8.(

You don't seem to know me, as you seem to have registered after I was inactive. I've been using it for a long time since #! Yeah, I'm no newbie. I have successfully installed with netinstall, so first of all you don't understand the contents properly.

In rbh's defense he was just trying to help and understandable you were a bit perplexed at his response but no need to get rankled.
Anyway welcome back to the forum and maybe we all will get to read more good posts of yours as Beryllium is soon to be released. You may be right there's going to be the newbies whenever there's a new release so the best thing is to be helpful to them especially if they are interested in trying out the distro and might not be familiar with it.
One question comes to mind: How was the usb stick written to and what tool you used? Also it's recommended to insert the USB boot media directly into a port on the laptop not into a hub as many hubs are not reliable enough to boot from.

DeepDayze, thank you for your long-term support of BL and friends.
Since rbh is a moderator, it responded too poorly. At worst, ditch BL and choose another distribution!
For open source like this, the product is important, but the community is more important than that.

I was using Rufus since Windows 10. But I also used Debian netinstall and had successfully installed BL Lithium as well. Didn't encounter any problems there.
My new concern is the recently acquired USB hub made in China. So it may be perceived as strange... However, I have installed various distributions other than BL, but so far this is only BL and #!++.
As a point of concern, the installation destination is HP Stream 11, but it is a 32G MMC, so the distribution is assigned /dev/mmcblk0 instead of /dev/sda. That's an unusual device name that didn't exist in the past. However, the number of recent PCs is increasing.

Fair enough and did you try plugging the USB into a port on the laptop itself and not in the hub?

Ah, was my English really bad? It was included in the original post.
The current workaround is to use netinstall or connect the installation USB flash drive without going through a USB hub and proceed with the installation.
I proceeded with the BL install without using a USB hub and it was successful. I've tried multiple BL installs to report here.

So then the hub may be the issue here, and seems unreliable for using for installs. To be safe, it's wiser to plug in the USB stick directly into a port on the machine itself. If you don't have many USB ports on the laptop you can temporarily disconnect the hub from the machine then boot from the USB after plugging it into laptop's port.
Your experience is a good thing as hubs are generally unreliable for booting from and maybe others will see that using a USB hub for installations (whether linux or Windows) may be hit or miss.

I agree. The USB hub I'm using would be unreliable.
However, I have tried 2 types of USB hubs and have encountered problems with both...
Are there other factors? I don't think it will be easy to find it.
The forum relocation also looks appropriate for the time being.
(Who would have dealt with the forum move, thanks!)
However, there may be the same report, and I needed to make this report.
Even if it really is a bug in the Debian installer, Debian maintainers and patrons should find it and fix it. I think so from many years of experience. That would not be a BL development staff level deal.
