The BunsenLabs netinstall script has been updated and will now install Beryllium by default.
The README still refers to it as "experimental" but the main reason for this is that it enables the BL development repository along with the official one, which is not yet fully updated. Later, the development repo will not be needed, but should do no harm even if not removed.

There is a test iso available now:

The main difference from the official release is that it isn't yet widely publicised (reasons on that page).
normal service will be resumed as soon as possible

How active is this distro nowadays? How many maintainers are there currently?
Is this distro going to stay alive?

The Beryllium release is ready and a test iso has already been made available (sse 3 posts up). This netinstall script also works.
An official release cannot yet be announced because we are caught in an unexpected server migration. Once everything has been moved to the new server the official Beryllium release can be made. Work will then start on Boron/Bookworm.
So yes the project is still alive.

I see it's a 64bit release. Will it be a 32bit release in the future?. I'm still using my 15 years old Toshiba laptop, runs fine with Lithium. (Just curious, I can keep with Lithium forever... or until my laptop passes away). ;O)
Thanks for keeping Bunsenlabs alive!
Jes.

3D or not 3D, that is not anymore the question.

Here is 32 bit release of "Beryllium." And the netinstall works for 32 bit too if I remeber correctly.

Thanks guys!
I'm on Beryllium 32bit now and quite happy.
Installation was almost straightforward with two exceptions, one was the installation process got stuck after trying to configure the network with IPV6 (it happened also in Lithium). It seems related to my home network not being IPV6 enabled. The workaround was to open a second console and killing the last process on the ps list. Then the installation continued and configured IPV4 properly.
The second issue was the installer not recognising properly the home wifi. Even if it was able to spot the wifi, giving the right access password it never accepted it. The workaround was to connect the laptop straight to the router with an ethernet cable. Once the installation finished, the wifi was properly recognized.
Not sure if it can be true, but my feeling is that Beryllium is a bit faster than Lithium.
Congrats for a nice work!
Bunsenlabs forever!
