Some tasks, coming up to the Boron release

None of the things listed here are really release-blockers, but some would be good to get done if time and dev input allow, and some are more like nice-to-have but could be left to post-release, or even for Carbon.

1) An Update Notifier script. I think this would be a plus for many people, but an annoyance for others. Just to be notified when new package upgrades are available - no automatic upgrades!
