Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Ubu, Xubu, #! to BL I never installed any other way so I really don't know.  I think in all that time I have only ever run the "Live session" once on each of them.

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Ok! I'm going share my view about BL.
But, for context, first two things to say:
1° I know little english and my grammar sucks.
2° For life reasons I always worked with actually obsolete computers, and I love to work with that ; it's always a challenge.
BL is perfect, I love it! In my equipment there's no (not a lot)  RAM, no (not a lot) processor power, etc.
No dynamic menus and fancy effects are welcome, still BL has a polish finish, so beautiful, In my opinion, exquisite.
I'm not a power user, no programmer, no in IT department, but I love manual configuration though text files. It's clear. Yeah, UI is always welcome, but not in my case.
I'm very glad and thankful for this distro; it's fits to all my needs.
Thanks to all people that makes this possible.

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Let me fix that for you:

1° I know little english but my grammar is 100% readable

Hola rers, puedes escribir en castellano y luego usar un traductor para obtener inglés.

Hello rers, you can write in Castellano and later use a translator to get English.

Nice review ... Gracias.

All due respect, but I advise against this:
rers' English is perfectly understandable. An online translator's English is not always understandable.
Nuances shift <= this is very important. So often what we really want to say is between the lines and has to be extracted carefully. You have to read an online-translated text twice to understand OP's intentions - if they haven't been mangled by the translating software.
A self-written text has character. We all write English in different ways according to our native languages. That is not only charming, but also useful = carries information.
Also, you constantly improve your English by writing English.

Nevertheless, thanks for the link. Will test some time.

Re: BunsenLabs Reviews

Hold one.

I did say his English was 100% readable.  I was giving rers the option to write in his native language and then in English.  Did not say he had to.  Check the history of my posts and you will see how many times I have said "Your English is just fine".  This too is an exercise in improving another language.

Do you have to disable compton on your boxes or does it run OK (a slight fade-in/fade-out when opening/closing/minimizing windows, also window and menu dropshadows)?

I'm very glad and thankful for this distro; it's fits to all my needs.
Thanks to all people that makes this possible.

Thank you very much for the feedback, and for trying BunsenLabs!
