Welcome to the Plasma 3.15+ Club! I can't wait for buster to freeze this January so I can have a stable version of it.

Re: Distro-hoppers anonymous

I've been playing around with manjaro-architect to produce a minimal openbox install ... it pretty much created a copy of archlabs with a manjaro wallpaper.

^ Nice. Over 20 years with a Linux desktop. Darth Vader... Impressive, most impressive.

Thanks for trying BL!

Re: Distro-hoppers anonymous

Giving Arch a go now, tempted to go ArchLabs as I have gotten very used to open desktop.

I have no need for overcomplicated menus, using mouse slows me down.

I don't have patience or skill to dig deep enough every time system breaks itself or when I break something because of lack of patience and skill.

Re: Distro-hoppers anonymous

I just realized last night that if all I want is desktop-flavored Debian Stable (maybe with a backports kernel) and something that ran awesome (my WM of choice) well, that I should probably just stop fussing with Ubuntu and come back to BL.

dwmX1.th.png

I'm thrilled.  big_smile

@mrneilypops,
Thank you very much for your excellent work.  cool
I'm looking for something "light", but I was afraid to install it on HDD right away. Especially because I don't know the refracta-installer yet.
(but I already found something in the net).

So here is my result as Live-dwmX in QEMU.
The handling is still very unusual for me, because I am not familiar with dmenu and jgmenu.

You offer next to Default, Italy. So am I correctly assuming that I can only install the German language packages with ceni after the installation and setup of the network?

Thank you!

Re: Distro-hoppers anonymous

@unklar
I am pleased you are happy.
dwm does take some getting used to that is one reason I have included jgmenu in addition to dmenu.
Don't forget the ratfactor guide;

very wise decision. That helps me a lot.  smile
Therefore, thanks also to @malm . That looks good and the font is also good to read (for my old eyes).  wink

dpkg-reconfigure locales I found
I need another tip from you on the German keyboard layout. Can I also choose this during the installation ?

Thanks

I would recommend a test install in VirtualBox, for example, in order to check out the settings.
