Re: termite terminal

Hello Guys,

I'm utilizing the termite terminal emulator. I've seen many individuals utilizing Urxvt on here. I would never get its hang. (Not whining, it looks amazing as a rule)

At any rate, I'm pondering does anybody have any pleasant shading plans set up in Termite and if so how could you accomplish it?

I have a pleasant vim subject, pretty alright ncmpcpp topic to coordinate and firefox doesn't look awful yet termite is simply looking too plain

I have hued "ls" yield and that is about it

1. According to this guide:

Get and install vte-ng

git clone https://github.com/thestinger/vte-ng.git
echo export LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/include/gtk-3.0:$LIBRARY_PATH"
cd vte-ng && ./autogen.sh && make && sudo make install
cd ..
Get and install termite, and setup

Re: termite terminal

^ so you had to compile & install vte-ng before you could install termite?
my guess is that termite cannot find vte-ng.
in other words, "something went wrong".
if you followed a complete, step-by-step tutorial then i guess you missed something somewhere, or did something wrong.

Re: termite terminal

I installed the termite several times, including the auto-install patch, each time on a clean system
