How about:
aptitude why-not cups

$ aptitude why-not cups
Unable to find a reason to remove cups.

Hmmm...
Can this do it:
aptitude install --simulate bunsen-meta-printer-support
If the `aptitude` commands has problems, it will give you a list of choices to resolve the problem and you need to press n to see the next option in the list.
Once all the options have been given, post the full output here please (and close the program with <Ctrl>+c).
EDIT: corrected package name.

Depends: libcups2 (= 1.7.5-11+deb8u1) but 2.2.1-8 is installed.
There's the culprit.
The second option presented by `aptitude` will fix your problem but it will also remove some programs.
Let's get to the root of this:
apt-cache policy libcups2
[...] and so on ...
Yes, sorry about that, clearly the "--simulate" option doesn't terminate

No worries, seems quite powerful!

From where did you install these packages?
I think they're all available from the Debian jessie repositories (which you have on your system) so you could try:
aptitude install --simulate bunsen-meta-printer-support libemail-valid-perl libio-socket-ssl-perl libmailtools-perl libnet-libidn-perl libnet-smtp-ssl-perl libperl5.24 libyaml-libyaml-perl perl-modules-5.24
If the output looks sane, run the command again with `sudo` and without "--simulate".
It is likely that I generated the problem while fixing not working WiFi with backports...
Please list the exact steps taken, include all commands used.

Actually it was not using the backports, but Debian Testing (maybe even more likely to generate the problem!). I used this solution that worked fine when I first installed in non-UEFI mode.
I removed the repo from my source.list since.
Also:
$ aptitude install --simulate bunsen-meta-printer-support libemail-valid-perl libio-socket-ssl-perl libmailtools-perl libnet-libidn-perl libnet-smtp-ssl-perl libperl5.24 libyaml-libyaml-perl perl-modules-5.24

Using Debian testing/unstable repositories breaks BunsenLabs
Please read https://wiki.debian.org/DontBreakDebian … nkenDebian
I think that it would be best to re-install your system from scratch.
EDIT: the firmware you need for your wireless card is available from the jessie-backports repositories (which you already had):
sudo apt-get install -t jessie-backports firmware-iwlwifi
https://packages.debian.org/jessie-back … re-iwlwifi
You will also need the backported kernel to match:
