After installation of Testing BL -- Deuterium -- I cannot install Printers Support.

Re: [SOLVED] Deuterium Printer support - broken packages

Hmmm... hmm

Can this do it:

aptitude install --simulate bunsen-meta-printer-support

If the `aptitude` commands has problems, it will give you a list of choices to resolve the problem and you need to press n to see the next option in the list.

Once all the options have been given, post the full output here please (and close the program with <Ctrl>+c).

EDIT: corrected package name.

There's the culprit.

The second option presented by `aptitude` will fix your problem but it will also remove some programs.

Let's get to the root of this:

apt-cache policy libcups2

[...] and so on ...

Yes, sorry about that, clearly the "--simulate" option doesn't terminate  roll

No worries, seems quite powerful!

$ apt-cache policy libcups2
libcups2:
  Installed: 2.2.1-8
  Candidate: 2.2.1-8
  Version table:
 *** 2.2.1-8 100
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     2.2.1-8~bpo8+1 100
        100 http://httpredir.debian.org/debian jessie-backports/main amd64 Packages
     1.7.5-11+deb8u1 500
        500 http://httpredir.debian.org/debian jessie/main amd64 Packages
        500 http://security.debian.org jessie/updates/main amd64 Packages

It is likely that I generated the problem while fixing not working WiFi with backports...

9) perl-modules-5.24

From where did you install these packages?

I think they're all available from the Debian jessie repositories (which you have on your system) so you could try:

aptitude install --simulate bunsen-meta-printer-support libemail-valid-perl libio-socket-ssl-perl libmailtools-perl libnet-libidn-perl libnet-smtp-ssl-perl libperl5.24 libyaml-libyaml-perl perl-modules-5.24

If the output looks sane, run the command again with `sudo` and without "--simulate".

Re: [SOLVED] Deuterium Printer support - broken packages

Actually it was not using the backports, but Debian Testing (maybe even more likely to generate the problem!). I used this solution that worked fine when I first installed in non-UEFI mode.

I removed the repo from my source.list since.

Also:

$ aptitude install --simulate bunsen-meta-printer-support libemail-valid-perl libio-socket-ssl-perl libmailtools-perl libnet-libidn-perl libnet-smtp-ssl-perl libperl5.24 libyaml-libyaml-perl perl-modules-5.24

Using Debian testing/unstable repositories breaks BunsenLabs sad

Please read https://wiki.debian.org/DontBreakDebian … nkenDebian

I think that it would be best to re-install your system from scratch.

EDIT: the firmware you need for your wireless card is available from the jessie-backports repositories (which you already had):

sudo apt-get install -t jessie-backports firmware-iwlwifi

https://packages.debian.org/jessie-back … re-iwlwifi

You will also need the backported kernel to match:
