^If I would like to try the "green on black" terminator, where exactly do I paste that code in .Xresources? At the end there are some URxvt.color0 to 15 lines - tried to simply replace them, but it did not seem to work.

Look at the Preferences -> Profiles -> Colors section of Terminator (r-click menu). There are many installed colour schemes you can use, or you can create your own using a palette.
