The Debian Live installer doesn't support UEFI yet. See this thread: [SOLVED] Windows 10 and BunsenLabs dual boot

Is buying a new empty harddrive a solution?

That would work if you don't want W10.
But you'd still need to make sure the BIOS is set to Legacy or CSM.
Can you boot a live USB ? (probably not but ...) If you can you could reformat the existing HDD wiping out Win10 - after a backup of course.
Debian 12 Beardog, SoxDog and still a Conky 1.9er

@CooKiECruNChEr43: I don't know if it would make any difference, but you could also try the BunsenLabs netinstall script. Also, johnraff put together instructions for manually performing a netinstall awhile back, but I'm not able to locate them. Perhaps the manual instructions were removed when the netinstall script was made available. If you would prefer doing the netinstall manually, PM me and I'll provide the instructions I have, but I don't guarantee that they will work. It's been awhile since I've followed the instructions to perform an actual installation.

It sounds like your Windows system is installed in UEFI mode and the BunsenLabs ISO image does not support this.
As a workaround, you could use a Debian jessie netinstall ISO image instead:
https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unof … 1+nonfree/
This should detect your UEFI system and accommodate it automagically.
Make sure that all the desktops are de-selected (ie, un-check the tickbox) in the tasksel section of the installer.
After rebooting into the basic (command-line only) Debian jessie system, download and run the bunsen-netinstall script:
wget https://github.com/bunsenlabs/bunsen-netinstall/archive/master.tar.gz tar -xpf master.tar.gz cd bunsen-netinstall-master ./install

I had read that post too, Blenderer, after I had installed Ubuntu Linux.
Installment of Ubuntu Linux worked. Downside is that the system feels so gay. Nice neat orange colors and the system tries to take you by the hand. And it keeps you from working properly.
I will try the solution you mentioned Blenderer in a month or so.
Thank you for answering.

That's OK, Member
FWIW I found Mint worked OOTB on a new Skylake+NVIDIA system - Ubuntu coudn't handle the graphics. And Mint Mate is much nicer anyway
