Your computer boots and you can log in, correct? So you're just getting that error because "vga=788" is deprecated?
Pretty sure you need to change:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="vga=788 quiet"
to:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet"
then
sudo update-grub
to clear the error message; you should be able to google that error message and verify it.
