I'll be glad if someone can help. Before I was with dist-upgraded Crunchbang to Debian Janise and it was working fine.

Re: Viber can't connect to internet.

Hello Zubcho,
I am having the same issue. I downloaded and installed the .deb . I also installed qt5-std package (dependency was not solved by the installer). Now, I can launch the GUI, but I have an error message saying no internet connexion. I tried the following (http://superuser.com/questions/1041013/ … connection ) without success sad
Have you managed to fix the issue?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I've been able to make it worked, the website you provided is good and this person below got it right here.

Its very important to only use thawte_Premium_Server_CA.pem and RENAME it to .crt

And then run the command again and this will happen

sudo update-ca-certificates
Updating certificates in /etc/ssl/certs... 0 added, 1 removed; done.
Running hooks in /etc/ca-certificates/update.d....
done.
done.

Run viber again and you won't have the "Not connected to internet" error anymore.

Cheers!

*************************************

Placing certs in /usr/local/share/ca-certificates and running the script didn't work for me on Debian testing x64...

I only needed https://www.thawte.com/roots/thawte_Pre … ver_CA.pem

Downloaded it and copied/renamed as /usr/local/share/ca-certificates/thawte_Premium_Server_CA.crt (needs to be .crt to be recognised).
