^It has nothing to do (really) with The Walking Dead (or WWZ, etc). Completely different genre.

Is nobody else... bored... of zombies...?
Yes
I've been watching Parasyte -the maxim- recently, it's very good indeed.

American Crime Story was pretty good.

^ so it was. interesting concept.
not one episode for one case, but a whole season.
i thoroughly enjoyed the first season.
and no, i'm not going off on that same rant again, but season 2 was just so utterly different, my expectations clashed with it.
is it part of the concept to change directors per season?
i also felt the whole series to be a tad too dark and creepy for a hard days night.
but genius. beautiful, both the nature and the desolation.
Filler to stretch the plot
the marvels of the internet:
everything has been thought of already.
But the season finale was amazing!
i'm still holding back on that - because after that i have to make the decision whether i go on to s03 or not...
Is nobody else... bored... of zombies...?
i think that was rather the point of iZombie? a humoristic reflection on a hype gone cold?

Sat down with a friend to watch Rick and Morty the other day. We were laughing all the way through it. The very first scene gives you a pretty accurate idea of what to expect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BR8qCu6dxo

Bored of Zombies, I watched 3 episode of 1st season Walking Dead and said "zombie soap opera". Click.
I hate those Simon Pegg flicks, give me Python for Brit humour. Or The Omega Man, for zombies.

^BTW... I am Legend the book, not the movie is much better.

So I thought I'd relax with some nice cartoons and I downloaded the first episode of The Powerpuff Girls...and remembered too late that this episode features a massive cockroach infestation, which is one of my worst nightmares (and something I've experienced IRL). Not sleeping for a few days...

You are probably thinking of a different series, the first season of American Crime Story has just finished. The OJ Simpson trial?

indeed i am.
i think i'll post back when i remember it.
or maybe someone else does:
mass murder - something with sacrifice to a voodoo god, who was really this incest-debilitated perverted guy living somewhere way out in mississippi (? anyhow, big river, swamp forest) in an old mansion.
detectives there were two, and the whole thing was a flashback from now back to the 70ies (i think), but then the whole case came alive again.
lots of extremely beautiful takes of nature, landscape, and derilict industry, and, as i said, a whole season to solve the case.
great stuff.
the second season was made in a very different way, i think it was part of the concept to have a different director for each season. artsy.

^@ohnonot - You are probably thinking of that HBO series True Detective with actors Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, for Season One.

I seem to recall a scene where birds flew into the shape of the Debian logo 'swirl'....very interesting...but creepy!

indeed it was true detective.
season 1, absolutely incredible, if you can stomach it.

one of the detectives was having flashbacks from all the drugs he had to take when he was deep undercover.
or maybe he'd developed an addiction, don't remember.
those hallucinations came over very subtly, i liked that. no flashy colors, no pointing blame fingers.

Haven't seen any of it yet... this is disappointing to hear!
My brother revealed to me recently that all the GamesMaster episodes are available on YouTube. As a videogame loving kid growing up in the UK the 90s, this was essential viewing, and today it's a mega nostalgia trip. This is from an era starting when the NES was the number one console and Sonic the Hedgehog was just starting to make an appearance. It's scripted to high hell, but Dominik Diamond's innuendo is brilliant and the aforementioned nostalgia has me hooked.

I don't know, it could be just me, maybe I got tired of it or something, but I think they've taken themselves too seriously in this season...

Season 6 of Ponies has taken a turn toward Slice of Life stuff with no clear season arc, though this isn't necessarily a bad thing in my opinion; looks like they're focusing on character development for a change.

The new BBC Top Gear premiered last night. The last minute-ish addition of Matt LeBlanc as co-host saved it from being unwatchable, that's how annoying I find the British host (STOP SHOUTING AT ME, ASSHOLE!) They did another bit with Reliants, that sucked. They set up a pattern where shouter cheats to win, that sucked. They reviewed a new Ariel Nomad, that was freaking amazing. LeBlanc is perfectly suited to host this show. I'd love to see him paired with James May.

I was surprised at how good LeBlanc was, I was not surprised at how frustratingly awful Evans was. Don't think I'll be watching much more of it tbh.

I thought they were both bad, that show went stale many years ago and those two won't save it
