Looking forward for the third one.hey, this was actually really good.
the storytelling is much more sophisticated than in most series of this type, the characters are interesting and unusual.
i could do without the gore, but it seems to be pretty much standard these days... and they somehow manage to make it almost beautiful...i also very much appreciated that the makers bothered to put some sort of ending to the second season.
yes, an open ending, but strong enough to turn away with a sense of accomplishment.
thank you.
Anytime.
Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned, but try watching my best ever drama series: The Wire
EDIT: For the sensational gore of Penny Dreadful, read this.
EDIT 2: Good news

I just started watching Sherlock. And by "just started" I mean I am now 2 seasons in It's good.
Honestly, Moriarty is the scariest TV character I have seen in a while...
The servant lifted off a kind of ottoman a long peacock-blue drapery, rather of the nature of a domino, on the front of which was emblazoned a large golden sun, and which was splashed here and there with flaming stars and crescents. “You’re to be dressed as Thursday, sir,” said the valet somewhat affably.

^The first episode I saw wasn't even one of the best (evil genius taxi driver) but my jaw was on the floor the whole time, it's that far ahead of everything else I'm currently seeing on television.
I've mentioned it elsewhere... Bilbo Watson, not the greatest actor sometimes. His Watson is growing on me, though (way more than his Bilbo ever will).
No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!

I just watched the pilot episode of The Lone Gunmen.
Never saw it but I was in it. I was one of the Vikings.

^ Q was definitely a base breaker; you either love him or hate him. Probably even more divisive than Wesley.
By the way, Sisko is best captain.
Oooh. Didn't know Q was so divisive. He is perhaps my all-time favorite Star Trek character. All the more impressive considering he stars in only a handful of episodes (give or take).
I enjoy Sisko, but I prefer Picard. Picard, to me, shows more humanity.

Funny parody! They forgot to include an "I have a bad feeling about this" moment though.
Seriously, I didn't think Jar Jar was any more annoying than 3P0 was in the original trilogy, and I thought 3P0 was worse in the prequel.

It's amazing how computer illiterate TV producers thought we were back in 2001. The Lone Gunmen episode "Planet of the Frohikes":
Chimp starts typing on laptop.
Frohike: It's gibberish!
Byers: No, it's not. It's Linux!
Langley: He's downloading some sort of voice synth program!
These characters were supposed to haz mad haxor skilz? Puh-lease, even I knew about Linux in 2001, and I was never any kind of whiz with the software.
(By the way, the voice synth shown on-screen is an .exe, and it sounds exactly like Edward Woodward. The UI looks legit enough though, possibly WindowMaker.)

So I've been watching CW's The Flash on the computer.
...But the since CW advertises other CW shows, I've been diggin' iZombie.
It's surprisingly funny/offbeat.

Trying to like Better Call Saul.
same here.
watched maybe three episodes, still waiting for something to actually happen.
it definitely has some sort of appeal; maybe it also has genuine entertaining abilities for us-american entrepreneurs to let off some steam after a hard day in the entrepreneurship jungle...

The X-Files episode "E.B.E." (the one where Mulder introduced Scully to the Lone Gunmen):
Scully said (while changing an ink cartridge in her pen):
Did you see the way they answered their telephone? They probably think that every call they get is monitored and they're followed everywhere they go. It's a form of self delusion; it makes them think that what they're doing is important enough that somebody would...
(finds radio transmitter soldered to her ink cartridge)
Wow. I can't tell you how many times that's happened to me...because it never has. Just sayin'.
EDIT: It's a cute bit of "debate & switch" though.

^ thanks for that.
the series only just started; give it a little time, subtitles will (hopefully) crop up.
related:
anyhoo, without getting too enthusiastic about it, i would like to direct your attention towards Sleeper Cell.
i'm not even so sure if it's a very good show, but it has one quality: it strives to show that there's a difference between being a muslim and being a terrorist. amongst other things, it shows good muslims and bad white american islamistic terrorists.
it shows that terrorists are human beings, and even the term terrorist isn't always so clear.
a very important topic for post-9/11 tv entertainment.

The second half of Once Upon A Time series 5 just started!
Highly recommend OUAT as a series. Really clever storytelling and deep characters.
