That's some nice boobs.
My thoughts exactly.
The meaning of life is to just be alive. It is so plain and so obvious
and so simple. And yet everybody rushes aroound in a great panic
as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.

Made to complement the themes shipped with BunsenLabs Linux.
Comprises a new Openbox theme and...
GTK2 and GTK3 themes:
Based on Bunsen-Blue-Dark by our very own prolific @hhh
(Which in turn is based on "Greybird" by Simon Steinbeiß)
Background is a desaturated version of "bl-graph-blue-1920x1200.png"

here are some stuff i have been uploading to opendesktop.org these years:
http://gnome-look.org/usermanager/searc … n=contents
http://box-look.org/usermanager/search. … n=contents
(i might have more stuff available at opendesktop.org around, i’m not sure exactly where - i guess that both links above shows most of what i uploaded there)
about the icons, i guess that "Puredyne Minimal alternate 2" i have at gnome-look.org is what i have closest to Faenza-Bunsen icon theme, as colours used

i don’t know if this .gnomecc file (gnome-color-chooser) can be useful (be welcome improving it):

btw, i have a bunch of themes and config files available at http://nitrofurano.altervista.org/linux/ - perhaps they might be useful for someone here!

nitrofurano, i've been interested in your minimal icons some years back, unfortunately they're still incomplete :-(
about gnome-color-chooser - it's a very good application, but why not just write actual gtk2 themes (or can it do gtk3, too)? you don't have to start from scratch, just start hacking sth you find.

Guys, this isn't the screenshot thread. This thread serves to share your own (modified) GTK themes and icon themes.
But it is a thread under the Artwork & Screenshots forum, and screenshots are helpful in seeing the resulting product.

sad that these icon names are always getting renamed yearly or monthly (i wonder why), resulting on a huge bunch of similar icons with different names, and missing another amount - really great would be if we could have an easy access of all of these icon names and directories, for significantly easing the process for the icon artists and “patchworkers”

well, colourscheme files are extremely neat, since IRIX/4DWM time (there were .basecolorpalette files), because they are just a mere text file of all needed colours for gui elements - and making hundreds of similar whole themes by merely hacking their colours is hugely toilsome and painfully slow, and takes a huge disk space when compared with colourscheme files

i made a gtk theme.
i started with bunsen blackish, changed the colors (took them from an old gtk theme) and started tweaking murrine settings until i got it really, really flat.
the openbox theme needs a little improvement.
anyhow, please help me with gtk3!
i have no gtk3 on my system. maybe i will, in a few weeks when i don't have so much studying to do, but right now i just changed the colors in gtk.css but haven't tested anything.
also you could test some of the apps for gtk2.
yes, it's a WIP.

i have no gtk3 on my system.
silly me, i can use my bunsen virtual machine for that!
thunar looks ok, and so do all the gtk3 apps i tried! they still have all the gradients in them, but the colors are good enough.
i will look into it (removing the gradients) later.

ohnonot great job! I'm using your theme and it's awesome, thanks for sharing .

i have updated it a lot.
went through the gtk3 settings to remove gradients and rounded borders.
removed some stuff that does not go well with this theme (pixmaps mostly).
updated the openbox theme a little.
made a tint2 theme!

thanks damo.
actually the gtk3 still needs some love.
i remember there used to be a tool to start gtk apps with and "debug" them, it was a little like the web developer tools, you could fin d out what GtkNames certain elements have.
i tried to find it yesterday but couldn't.
anybody know what i'm talking about, or can give suggestions how i can troubleshoot gtk themes?

Thanks HoaS, but this is not what i'm looking for.
i really need to be able to specify elements:
i remember there used to be a tool to start gtk apps with and "debug" them, it was a little like the web developer tools, you could find out what GtkNames certain elements have.
this was a while ago, and i think the app was somewhat experimental and/or unmaintained, but i'm 100% sure it exists.
or other tips - a "point and click to get information" solution a la web developer tools would be perfect.
if you look at the gtk3 CSS for TempuraFlat or one of the bunsen themes you will understand: they're huge, compared to gtk2...
and since i removed all gradients (only that took an hour or so), some elements have become indistiguishable from their backgrounds.
maybe hhh can say something about this?
edit:
found it! it's called gtkparasite. now to compile it for bunsenlabs...
