Re: WHat Happened to The Xfce4-Network-Manager?

Check out the Debian package search:
https://packages.debian.org/search?suit … rk-manager

There's no such package as xfce4-network-manager.

I wonder what you're confusing it with?

network-manager-applet?

https://packages.debian.org/trixie/netw … ger-applet

@MarkW - you mean the the application in the system tray that allows the user to select the wireless network? If so, make sure nm-applet is in your autostart file.

You must unlearn what you have learned.

Re: WHat Happened to The Xfce4-Network-Manager?

In fact, just installing the applet should put a file in /etc/xdg/autostart/ so it autostarts by itself.

john@boron:~$ bl-xdg-autostart --list
---snip---
[*] Network
	  File: /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop
	  Executes: nm-applet
---snip---

Weirdly, that's not there either.  Maybe it's been renamed because the nm-applet command still works

Re: WHat Happened to The Xfce4-Network-Manager?

The package only appears from Trixie. It was probably split off from network-manager:
https://packages.debian.org/search?keyw … ection=all
