New album from Pigeon Pit, I rate this band even though the singer sounds exactly like Conor Oberst from Bright Eyes.
Anyway, it's DIY folk-punk from Olympia, Washington, the album is called Crazy Arms and it was released today: https://pigeonpit.bandcamp.com/album/crazy-arms

Good quality stuff, but:
Bare-midriffed disco dancers gyrate against still pictures of the attack on the World Trade Center.
...Thai sensibility is often not in keeping with that of the West.
PS that doesn't mean the Thais relished the WTC attack at all. The lyrics of that song are about the singer's losing her new husband.

Almost 5 hours of soul bliss.
The sound quality is fantastic for this 24bit/96KHz transfer. The mono remasters are particularly impressive.

This song has haunted me ever since I first heard it ~40 years ago.

Upgraded my Rock Pi S music server to the new v1.3 board so I can run Debian bookworm on it.
Testing it with some soul classics:
Thriller, by Michael Jackson.
Talking Book, by Stevie Wonder.
Otis Blue, by Otis Reading (mono version).
All streamed from qobuz.com, they sound amazing.
EDIT: lovely minimal system on that board:
$ pstree
runit─┬─mpd───5*[{mpd}]
├─runsvdir─┬─runsv───sshd───sshd───sshd───mksh-static───pstree
│ ├─runsv
│ └─runsv───cron
├─syslog-ng───syslog-ng───{syslog-ng}
├─systemd-udevd
└─upmpdcli───16*[{upmpdcli}]
$
Nice to see bookworm still works with runit as PID1. Support even seems to have improved since I got it kicked out of the init metapackage just before the bullseye release. EDIT2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79DijItQXMM

Still with Roy Harper, this is from his rock period in the mid-1970s.

I couldn't sleep. I listened to a lot of Linda Ronstadt, Lloyd Green, and Daryle Singletary.
