languages icon & terminal fontsize

Hello everyone
I've been using bunsenlabs for 3 years now, I like it, but there are a couple of things I would like to tweak:
1. The icon with languages is not displayed on the panel next to the clock. How can I enable it?
Eng | Ukr | Rus
2. It is impossible to increase or decrease the font in the terminal, how can I do this?
Usually, the font size is adjusted with the Ctrl-+ or Ctrl-+ buttons.

Can you tell me where I can set this up?

Re: languages icon & terminal fontsize

Terminal font size can be adjusted in the terminal's settings, if it has that option. BL Boron uses lxterminal by default so Edit>Preferences>Terminal Font.

I'm sorry, I haven't used BL in a while and I never switch languages, I forget which widget will provide you with that feature. I know it's basically install ibus, but I forget how to add the widget to autostart/tint2. Someone?

I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

Do you mean the language in which app and terminal messages are displayed? If so, then you can't switch language during a session. You have to log out, and then you should see a drop-down menu at the top of the login window where you can choose from the languages you have installed. When you log back in you should be using the chosen language.

If you mean, how can you set up the keyboard to enter characters in Ukranian or Russian instead of the standard Latin alphabet, then as @hhh says, you will need to install an input method such as Ibus.

Thanks, it helped!

I can switch languages successfully, but I can't see in the system tray   which one is currently active.

I want to see the current language in the panel, like in the screenshot...

it was in the previous version 11, but in 12 (Boron) - the language bar disappeared.
How to get it back?
Thank you for help!

Re: languages icon & terminal fontsize

Sorry, I don't remember seeing a language display widget in tint2, ever...
I wonder what it was, that was showing it to you?

You can check any time by running "locale' in a terminal, but isn't it obvious anyway from the language of the tooltip messages etc?

Re: languages icon & terminal fontsize

I'm sure it was there in the #! days, and probably after that. Let me fire up default Boron and see what I can see.

Re: languages icon & terminal fontsize

ibus isn't included in Boron. In your terminal, run...

sudo apt install ibus

Logout/login and you should see an indicator in your tint2 taskbar. More than that, I can't help (not using BL right now, not using more than one language ever. <-- stupid American!) However...

@johnraff, maybe you can figure it out from those links? Also this...

Re: languages icon & terminal fontsize

After installing ibus,  languages icon appeared on the panel, but the hot keys Ctrl+Shift stopped working...   and I couldn't configure it.
I deleted ibus - leave it as is.
Okay, I'll look at other solutions.

ibus - on

sudo dpkg-divert --package im-config --rename /usr/bin/ibus-daemon

ibus - off

sudo dpkg-divert --package im-config --rename --remove /usr/bin/ibus-daemon

Yeah, but it's not actually me who's trying to figure this out...

My IM needs are served by fcitx + mozc
