In general modern screens are _way_ too bright on their default settings. (Also too blue, but's that another topic.)
I manually adjusted the redshift config file for my location (latitude, longitude) and eyes (temp-day=5840, temp-night=4480).
Very good! From my end we are saying pretty much the same thing, just differently worded.
My screens are fixed at around 5500K for image editing, I can't have some tool suddenly change the calibration by some "random" time, stability is crucial for my work - and traditionally a lot of image editing happens at night.
But my phone has the day/night color adjustments set up, because it's better for the eyes and there is nothing color critical happening there. Highly recommended.

Dark theme is great for my old eyes!

The dark theme is nice but I prefer the light theme. It just works better for me.
I use Arch BTW! If it is not rolling, it is stagnant!

There are a lot of forum themes available, some dark and some light, but some of them aren't so good, and anyway there are probably too many. Some day we should try to find out what themes are being used by nobody and remove them from the server, to make things simpler.

Maybe we should have a poll? No doubt it won't get everyone but it will cover the majority of us who visit regularly.

^Yes, we can just ask people to post the name of the forum theme they use, and wait till we've got a reasonable number of answers.

I'll start.
Hydrogen
Triggered by this thread I tried all of the available ones and that is what I like best. If I had to pick a dark theme it would be "Mercury".

@grubernd and @All who loves Hydrogen
I think @johnraff did a great job with the Hydrogen-Dark style.
I also know there are those who don't like the new default style (dark), but it's impossible to please everyone.
However, there is a solution and I have already posted it.
See my post when you are not logged in:
https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 72#p133572
You can test how it works temporarily.
1) Copy the code except for the first and last lines.
2) Press F12
3) Press {} Style Editor tab
4) Press Ctrl+A to select all
5) Press Delete button
6) Press Ctrl+V to paste
You will get the (temporary) Hydrogen style back.
If you reload the page you will get Hydrogen-Dark (default style) again.
If you want the code to always work, you have instructions in my post.

Or you go to
Profile > Display > Styles and set whatever theme you like best.![]()

This is for those who are not always logged in and love the Hydrogen style.

Oh, sorry, totally missed that part, solid solution. My brain must have switched to efficiency mode when it saw the steps to reproduce and decided that opening the passwords manager and hitting Ctrl-F "Buns" TAB followed by Ctrl-Sh-v would be much easier. ![]()

^ I have now checked my instructions and everything is fine.
You can see in the screenshot that I am not logged in, but I have Hydrogen style.
If after logging in you do: Profile > Display > Styles > Hydrogen, you will always have the Hydrogen style whether you are logged in or not.

I've started a new thread for people to post their current logged-in forum style:

Thanks for your help!
@grubernd thanks for giving us that already. I've pasted in your reply to the new thread.
