Yes, that is the latest version for Debian 10 (buster): https://packages.debian.org/search?keyw … ection=all
If you are dependent of running newer version, you can download compressed tarbal from Mozilla; https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/download, Uncompress it and add symlink to your ~/bin or .

Debian developers are currently working on upgrading the Firefox, Chromium andThunderbird packages. There seem to be some build-platform complications that needed to be resolved first, but it looks as if new versions should be on the repositories soon.

If you want to use the latest Firefox in Deb1an, this should still work (about to do it myself on my new Debian install because of the security issues in the Debian version)...

Caution, these instructions are quite old and might need updating. Testing now...

I install firefox and set it as default browser and working very good, but l dont know how to put firefox in menu-aplications-internet,try to do that with alacarte, obmenu but not working for me.Is there any solution for that?
Would have one more little question. When doing a kernel upgrade which command to use classic apt install or apt install -t buster-backports linux-image-5.10.0-0.bpo.9-amd64?Both work in virtualbox.
Do l need to install as well linux-header?
I add buster-backports from bl-welcom script is that ok or need to add in /etc/apt/sources.list deb https://deb.debian.org/debian buster-backports main contrib non-free.

You can also run both. I reinstalled FF-ESR. That executable is in /usr/bin as firefox-esr and the desktop file is /usr/share/applications/firefox-esr.desktop. Set whichever to the default in Debian Alternatives. ESR updates via apt and the Official checks for updates and will auto-update if needed every time you open it. Pic or it didn't happen...

Let me just write about how installed the browser.Download tar.bz2 file from mozilla site, extract file and move it with mv firefox /opt/ and in galternatives in x-www-browser section make path to opt/firefox/firefox set priority 100.
