Hi there,

lspci -knn | grep -EiA2 net

sudo rfkill list

2: hci0: Bluetooth

syslog output only mentions eth0. It is, as expected, pretty extensive to print here. I already blacklisted rlt8169 driver and changed it to 8168 as mentioned in many foruns that i have browsed.
Can any one help me?

Thanks,

Re: [SOLVED] Broadcom BCM43142 [14e4:4365]

Well I know that broadcoms are known to have some issues (understatement?)  You may need to use the wl driver instead of the bcma.

Try apt-get  installing
broadcom-sta-dkms

I believe you have to have non-free repo's enabled.

Also are you using network-manager for your connections?

What's the output of :

nmcli device show

It works! after 2 hours browsing the solution was installing that package you mentioned and reboot. Many thanks.

Nearly 5 years later and happy to say Horizon_Brave's package suggestion(broadcom-sta-dkms) worked for me too.
For reference: Macbook air 2013 single boot installation of Lithium
4.19.0-16 -amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.19.181-1
Broadcom Limited BCM4360 802.11ac wireless network adapter

How do I enable non-free repos... and do I need to uninstall anything.. or just install with the command you used.

My network is working... but the wifi randomly drops out for some reason... sometimes it can not reconnect and I need to reboot..

lspci | grep -i network
10:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Limited BCM4321 802.11a/b/g/n (rev 03)

(I'm a noob user, if you think you are explaining to slowly, you're not!)
