Ok. I have a lokal mirror of repositorys here. Last sync was 09 pm GMT. "apt update" works ok for the Keliano mirror here.

Changed over to fetch directly from keliano-server and got:

There is nothing you can do for the server. No package is updated after 2021-02-17. If you have upgraded after that date, there is nothing new to fetch.

If you are on a new installation, you can live with not updating until server is fixed. Or, you can download the packages manually and install with "dpkg -i *.deb"
You forst need to doenload and open file https://kelaino.bunsenlabs.org/~johnraf … 4/Packages (or the one for i386), så you know what packages to download.

Do I understand you correctly: since I tried to install today and since

sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends bunsen-meta-all

does not work due to server failure, I have next to nothing, just a rudimentary Debian Bullyeye/Sid text installation waiting to get to life as BunsenLabs' Beryllium someday in the future?

Sort of frustrated I converted my rudimental installation to a full-fledged Debian Bullseye/sid Xfce, to have something to play with until Beryllium will be ready.

Thank you very much for your efforts I did use your script to download the DEBs, worked fine, I am on multiboot so not much worries. It was a good learning experience.

Before installing the DEBs I did the kelaino thing again... and all worked well! Full success! Sorry for having omitted one "/" before.

Did I get no internet connection? You bet! It took me a lot of trouble and web surfing to find out how to get one. This worked:

Yes, much hw can nead som tweaking in linux. Often the hardware is not constructed with linux in the thoughts...

Wifi can be tricky. But, if you can get it working, you should not need to resort back to managed net device.

One of my laptops, lost network connection when awakened from hibernate/susprend. Comman nmcli, could get it back. Made a script:

#!/bin/sh
nmcli con up [SSID]
exit

and made an tint2 launcher for the script.

Geany in this experimental BL Beryllium system not yet complete?
The present Geany 1.37.1 compiles this simple python program but does not "make" nor "run" it:

This is the program test.py:

inputString = input('Enter a sentence:')
print('The inputted string is:', inputString)

The essential error line after trying to "make" it is:

/bin/sh: 1: make: not found

and "Execute" does return only an empty terminal.
However, Idle executes test.py without error, and so does Geany in Ubuntu 18.04. Is there still something missing here?

Sounds like you don't have a development environment installed. If all you need is make, then just install it, but it seems that geany may need something else installed.

Whatever - I don't think it is a bug. Remember that BL is deliberately light, so there will be many things you need to sort out for your own requirements. As @rbh says, ask in a Help forum section.

The addidtional program necessary to check Python code in Geany is 'pep8'
The package 'pep8' has been replaced with 'pycodestyle' in Bullseye, and no longer can be added to Geany for Python code checks.

Why then was Geany chosen as text editor in BL, if Geany is missing its programmig editor functionality in BL? Wouldn't it have been more light to choose something simple like featherpad or so as text editor?
