Is there a way to get the current Lithium release to sid with out it breaking?
Or should I start with debian sid and bunsen-ize it?
If you can upgrade buster to sid, without breaking, it should be possible to upgrade Lithium/Buster to Lithium/sid.
But it is higlly possible that sid breaks, if you are not very cautios.

Yes there may be some breakage as I've had done a Helium -> Sid upgrade in the past. Haven't tried with Lithium just yet.
Best route is to test in a VM first before you go "break" your main production systems.
