Mixing the radio show today, which means I'm back on Lithium running jackd. It's sweet...

A week since I've booted it, 3 package upgrades (libgs9 / ghostcript security updates). Mad love for Debian stable, my OS of choice.

Not bad, but tint2's Executor plugin is unsurpassed.
Yeah, but you just posted two great scrots without it, so nyeah.
-edit- @ohnonot, I should do an xfce4-panel theme-ing/setup tutorial. I will, for you.

Do I detect a hint of criticism at the design of my desktop?
Anyhow, looking forward to the tutorial.

I've gone brown again.
And trying xfce4-panel. Not bad, but tint2's Executor plugin is unsurpassed.
Totally agree, only that executors should have been implemented many years ago when tint2 was at its peak of uses. For many years we had tint2 plain and simple, The current ones provide many usable features and executors are his strong asset.
I wish the tint2 thread was a bit more lively or populated with interesting scripts.
Personally tint2 + openbox will always be with me, regardless of the movements i make from time to time.
Nice scrot by the way. The good classic combinations openbox, tint2, conky.

Playing with ruby drawille gem
top: drawille, bottom: old method
left: weechat, right: game of life example with drawille
p.s. This is actually running on pi3 due to all kind of gem installation trouble with WSL.

@ohnonot and @nili I still haven't grasped what tint2 executors are doing that buttons don't do. A hint?

AFAICS executors are buttons on steroids.

To me they're both almost identical, I have divided them into two categories one for launchers, other for shell scripts.
I meant if features executors/buttons where provided early we would have a dynasty of scripts now.
Nowdays users runs polybar, i3, awesome etc...You know 10 year ago Tint2 was the king of panels.
Unfortunately at that time it was very minimal and for a long time it lasted quite a bit.
On the other hand better late then never, so today tint2 features are very useful and practical.
IMHO tint2 is still the panel king while i am on Openbox.
