August 2020 Screenshots

Good morning, New Zealand! Let the scrots commence.

Welcome to the August Scrot thread! This is where you can post screenshots of your setup, as long as it's in line with our somewhat elaborate rules and instructions...

Please use thumbnails. Do not embed images larger than approx 250x250px (62,500px) into posts, use thumbnails linking to a hosted image instead. Thanks!

Various online free image hosts are available, such as Imgur, imgbb, freeimage.host, scrot.cloud, postimg.cc, etc...

Use the following BB code for posting please:

[img]<url of thumbnail>[/img]

** Update for Imgur users **

Imgur only provides the link to the full image, but just add "t" to the name to get a thumbnail link, and the filename extension eg:

7S2EJEgt.png
                                  ^                                  ^

Imgur also provides a variety of thumbnail sizes, and the linked BBCode, in the image "View and edit" screen.
imgur wrote:

Sizes:  Original · Small Square · Big Square · Small Thumbnail · Medium Thumbnail · Large Thumbnail · Huge Thumbnail

Repeat: To get the linked direct image you need make sure to add the file extension to the url.  Their recommended BB code doesn't really convey this properly.

Once again when choosing a thumbnail size please keep in mind our approx 250x250px (62,500px) thumbnail file size constraints.

Re: August 2020 Screenshots

The sun hasn't even set to end July in the States, that's like three hours from now for the east coast, six for the west and another 3 and 1/2 hours from that till it's midnight.

What's it like living in the future? Do you have jet packs or flying cars yet? Maybe a robot maid named Rosie?

Epic desktop, Dobs!

No we don't have any of those things.  Though we do have electrical bicycles.

Well, that's just cheating. That's all of the risk of riding on 2 wheels with only a few of the benefits. When you consider the impact of the mining involved for battery production, it's not even environmentally friendly.

The future sucks! I want a flux-capacitor and a Mr. Fusion and I want it now! Where I'm going, I don't need roads!

I know, right?

Lets just have nuclear powered engines and be done with it.

It seems to work well for submarines. And they travel freaking underwater.

BunsenLabs: Providing solutions to the world's energy problems since 2020!

Now that's a catchy slogan.

It's a resource hog, but kitty is becoming my terminal of choice. Works well with xorg and wayland:

Re: August 2020 Screenshots

I'm using mate-terminal on cinnamon in X, it's using ~50 Mb. Of course, desktop RAM usage is double what you're showing. gnome-shell isn't exactly light.

Re: August 2020 Screenshots

Got a sweet BTRFS setup on arch going with my little snapshot script. Also, swap is in zRAM since I always have to much of it.

yeti-next is now just yeti. I’ve merged all the changes and it’s one singular repo that builds fine on anything arch or debian based.
