Hello! I need an opinion or interpretation. I have one external HDD with some error signs, but I'm not sure in what condition her degradation is.
I have made a check on Windows that have collected a different results.
Also have made check with gsmartcontrol gui via Linux that are shown on images or text outputs

I have copied all the files successfully without problem, I formatted it in the fast and long option. Can i still use this hdd or throw it away?
Thank you for any advice.

It is normal for a disk to have a few bad sectors. Mechanics. For this, the disk has reserve sectors which seem to be already be used by this one. Attributes are also sometimes heavily vendor specific; the raw value may not mean much. I would put repeated heavy load on the disk (write zeroes over entire disk, multiple times, write random, whatever) and monitor the values. Should they stabilize -- sometimes seek counters just count seeks so be aware that they may spin or even overflow -- I'd use the disk for secondary or nonimportant data, such as movies.

Thank you twoion for valid suggestions, I have already started doing some tests to see the progress of the numbers.
I will do so making this hdd as a secondary.
Best regards!

I concur with the other posters, just make that as a scratch drive for unimportant stuff or temp backups. Why not put it into an external case to use it as a USB backup drive?

I did zeroes yesterday which lasted almost 2 days. In the end CrystalDiskInfo on Windows removed all negative info who reported early.
Meantime, gsmartcontrol reports back the same like 2nd pic "15 soft read error rate".
I will keep it under surveillance by doing further proofs like copy, paste, delete, place, play under this disk.
@DeepDayze it's with case already as an external disk.
Appreciate your inputs dear friends.

Well at some point you have to reach a conclusion as to what to do 2 days non-stop burnin and stable health would be good enough for me, personally.
