Welcome to the June Scrot thread! This is where you can post screenshots of your setup, as long as it's in line with our somewhat elaborate rules and instructions...
Please use thumbnails. Do not embed images larger than approx 250x250px (62,500px) into posts, use thumbnails linking to a hosted image instead. Thanks!
Various online free image hosts are available, such as Imgur, imgbb, freeimage.host, scrot.cloud etc.
Use the following BB code for posting please:
[url=<url of full size image>][img]<url of thumbnail>[/img][/url]
** Update for Imgur users **
Imgur only provides the link to the full image, but just add "t" to the name to get a thumbnail link, and the filename extension eg:
[url=https://i.imgur.com/7S2EJEg.png][img]https://i.imgur.com/7S2EJEgt.png[/img][/url]
^ ^
Imgur also provides a variety of thumbnail sizes, and the linked BBCode, in the image "View and edit" screen.
Sizes: Original · Small Square · Big Square · Small Thumbnail · Medium Thumbnail · Large Thumbnail · Huge Thumbnail
Repeat: To get the linked direct image you need make sure to add the file extension to the url. Their recommended BB code doesn't really convey this properly.
Once again when choosing a thumbnail size please keep in mind our approx 250x250px (62,500px) thumbnail file size constraints.
Be Excellent to Each Other...

@damo: I think the simplest advice for getting direct image links from any uploader is to right-click the full size image and click on "view image", and then copy the URL from the URL bar.
Also I just posted on the May thread on how postimg.cc likes to obfuscate things.
Please use CODE tags for code.

OT: Wouldn't take that for granted; that's "hotlinking" and some ad-financed hosters don't like it, they block access based on the Referer header or missing cookies.

There are extensions for FF/Chrome(ium) that allow you to control referers or block them from getting passed to a hoster site.

Doesn't work for the link cog posted. Instead, you have to right-click the Download icon (upper right below the screenshot) and choose "Open Link in New Tab". From there you can do as you say, I think.

I usually remove "md" to get the full resolution from scrot.cloud when the download icon not show the full res instead download it.
so
https://scrot.cloud/images/2020/06/02/S … -50.md.png
to
https://scrot.cloud/images/2020/06/02/S … -10-50.png
Right click, grab url > paste to urlbar by removing "md" FULL IMAGE LOADED.
Long way, but efficient

^ That looks really clean. Welcome!
I'm pretty confident that @johnraff's latest test build will be our release. No harm in installing, the sources.list* files are all official, so you'll get regular updates to whatever is current...

Yeh pretty much. I think there will be one more build, but the changes will be mostly cosmetic, and anyway...

Plasma5 is getting more refined. Lots of polish in the past few releaes. 5.19.x is very good.
MPRIS-capable players like mpv now get media player controls in their panel peek previews:
Of course you still get the usual widgets either for the panel or you can stick them on the desktop, which I like clean. mpd is being exposed as a MPRIS player via Cantata, next to ncmpcpp likely the best MPD client.
Notificaton management is getting good too. There's also a DnD mode unlike on macOS, where the programs you install likely ignore the global DnD setting, looking at you, Microsoft
Relatively decent weather plasmoid included
Lots of fancy stuff I don't use (graphs, clocks, resource monitor plasmoids etc etc). I can only recommend people who want a complete desktop to install a Arch, Tumbleweed, Alpine Edge or any other rolling distribution with good packaging and try it out.
