A bug in the forum itself

After logging in with the forum generated password I tried to change my password to one I can remember.

The page said the new password needed to be at least 6 characters long, I put in an 8 character new password, this was rejected by the forum, the reject page says the new password must be 9 characters long.

However many characters you want, make the numbers match on all the pages.

Re: A bug in the forum itself

*We* or *Someone from the team* doesn't make the forum. It's an implementation of FluxBB, a forum software.

Having said that, I confirm this bug and I guess this should be reported to FluxBB. While changing the password with a 6 character password, this is what I get,

"Passwords must be at least 9 characters long. Please choose another (longer) password."

Re: A bug in the forum itself

FluxBB has made some upstream changes not all of which I have imported, but I can only cherry-pick commits due to plugins like the private message system, which is atrocious and requires hand-editing some FluxBB files, among other things, which prevent me from just merging back upstream changes without looking. I'll keep this in mind and might pick up the upstream UI change or fix it myself.
