Repository Errors when running Symantic

Hi folks

I have been running jesse/bl since it came out - an alpha or pre alpha so about 4 years

I run a software update via synaptic every so often

I now have error messages on this system when I do a reload

Failed to fetch http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/dists/j … /InRelease  Unable to find expected entry 'main/binary-amd64/Packages' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)
Failed to fetch http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/dist … 4/Packages  404  Not Found [IP: 151.101.60.204 80]

Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

If I ignore this and continue with a mark all upgrades I get a 'can't be authenticated'
warning.

Please advise - small words are good as I'm not very techy
