now the display of MoonGiant is ok  big_smile

see how your southern hemisphere comparison of the displayed Moon_Icon WU <---> MoonGiant turns out. But you can see this best when the moon phase changes...   wink

Maybe there are irregularities and inconsistencies between the sites when the moon phase is about to change.

I've also realized that the name of the repository is wrong and it should be Wunderground_conky_script instead of WUnderground_conky_script. I've corrected that, please report back if the renaming causes any trouble.

OK, I'm slower these days ... has nothing to do with age.  Well in some ways yes, but in this case busy with other things.  Just downloaded ALL of the new scripts and deleted ALL on my old ones.

Time to start over.  big_smile

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

Hello Friends

Teo, I'm trying to think about the "future"   big_smile
Screenshot_20200306_133204.th.png

weather.com
I divide it into these areas:
1 = Today
2 = Tomorrow
3 = (short version) Tomorrow
wuPi.th.png

1 is ok

2 causes problems
There's a toggle between "tonight" and "tomorrow".
is elected at the Conky:

${goto 70}${color1}${texeci 600 sed -n '32p' $HOME/Weather_com_conky_script/10days|tr a-z A-Z}
${color}${texeci 600 sed -n '52p' $HOME/Weather_com_conky_script/10days | fold -w35}

Must the if_statement be mandatory?

$font${color1}${goto 40}${font}${execpi 600 sed -n '1p' $HOME/Weather_com_conky_script/10days|tr a-z A-Z|cut -c1-3}

3 is ok

4 is the question of upper and lower case letters. How can this be changed so that this comes out.

${goto 70}${texeci 600 sed -n '125p' $HOME/Weather_com_conky_script/10days|tr a-z A-Z|cut -c1-2}

So not DO but Do

Last question goes more to my friend Sector11   wink
wuPi_5Linie.th.png
adding a 5th line moves the whole configuration down. Blank lines seem to have no effect.
I did this again in 1.9  devil

Once again the hint:
The location address determined in the browser ensures in the Teo script that the weather data appears in the respective national language. I do not know any other weather service that does this.

Distributions, where the whole thing works "out of the box", are
archlinux and Mageia.
Here in Debian based Distris (siduction, bl-lithium) I have additionally added the packages
inkscape and
librsvg2-bin
installed. For displaying and converting the svg icons. wink

Starting with Conky version 1.10.6 it does not matter in which syntax the configuration file is available.

I had high hopes of determining the dynamic size of the window by specifying a fixed size.

-- Minimum size of text area

	use_spacer = 'none', --right',left',

Unfortunately no

I can also have lines 19 and 50 of the 10days read out to avoid the problem. But, uh...   big_smile testScein19_50.png

EDIT:

Never mind I have the answer - cut at the end of the line:

${execi 30 sed -n '9p' /media/5/Conky/Accuweather_conky_script/curr_cond_text | cut -b 1,2}

MUCH Better: 2020-03-08-135242-S11.jpg

First off I am NOT laying blame.

In the "curr_cond" you added "text" to the UVI condition (line 9) ... messing up my conkys:

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

First things first. If you don't want capitals, remove the tr command, ie. instead of

${goto 70}${texeci 600 sed -n '125p' $HOME/Weather_com_conky_script/10days|tr a-z A-Z|cut -c1-2}

try with

${goto 70}${texeci 600 sed -n '125p' $HOME/Weather_com_conky_script/10days|cut -c1-2}

As for the Tonight/Tomorrow thingy, it can't be avoided because the forecast up until sometime in the day is for tonight and then it's for tomorrow, with only the first line of the 10days file to indicate the difference. It seems hard at first, but once you get the hang of it it's not a big deal to tackle the if_match command; it's just that you practically have to write two conkyrc sections for this part of your configuration.

I'm not sure I understand your size problem. If you intend to show the full weather.com message (full narrative), be prepared to have a variable length forecast, whose length could never be predicted. You could put this text at the end of your conky configuration with nothing following it, text or image, to avoid any misbehavior.

Once again the hint:
The location address determined in the browser ensures in the Teo script that the weather data appears in the respective national language. I do not know any other weather service that does this.

A yes, weather.com "assuming" an English speaking person living in Argentina will want the weather in Spanish!  RIIIIIIIGHT!  Why of course they would know better than the people themselves.

Or an Italian living in Japan, for 6 months, will want the weather in Japanese.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

I'm on a roll ... Got Accuweather up and running - running both 2015 and 2016 versions for a few days until we decide which we like best.  IE: Which one Sector12 likes best.
2020-03-08-205339-S11.jpg
And I  completely revamped my Accuweather UV Index conky ... bottom left just above my email conky.  UV Is deadly here if the sun is out it is 8+  I saw it at 9 today as I was tweaking things, dangerous stuff the UVI here, not like up north.

Next up: The Moon script.  Just because.

Conky 1.9 here

Thanks, Teo, for your advice.
I will try to move the whole text output down.

@Sector11
I also can't decide clearly for 2015 or 2016, because the icons are just beautiful. But several OS solve the problem here.
Do you really think S12 likes the scary picture?   hmm

Well, the user will report here and ask for it. We'll tell him to change the browser line from:

https://weather.com/es-AR/weather/today/...

to

https://weather.com/en-AR/weather/today/...

This means that the English speaker in Argentina will see the output in English and not in Spanish.
Besides, Teo was so friendly and has already hard-wired this "English-speaking Spaniard" in the script   tongue   big_smile

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!  It's inside youe scripts.  OK I got you.  See I am so out of connection I though "weather.com" was adding an ending based on a persons ISP.

For the longest time GOOGLE refuses to give google.com and Insisted on google,com.ar and filtered the sites to a .ar  ending.  GRRRRR!

I have not looked at weather.com scripts yet.

NEW PROBLEM

I am having a problem with Accuweather,  the script is not creating the first_days or last_days or altogether24 directories.

sed: can't read /media/5/Conky/Accuweather_conky_script/first_days: No such file or directory
sed: can't read /media/5/Conky/Accuweather_conky_script/last_days: No such file or directory

and IF I create them:

sed: read error on /media/5/Conky/Accuweather_conky_script/first_days: Is a directory
sed: read error on /media/5/Conky/Accuweather_conky_script/last_days: Is a directory

In fact searching the /media/5/Conky/Accuweather_conky_script/accuweather script I see no mention of first_days or last_days - which confuses me more as it is in the terminal ERROR output.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

NEVER MIND ... the error is mine - using an OLD conky that had "first_days" and "last_days" in it.

I'm getting old mind wanders or thinks "but it worked last time."

Yes, "New-German" is now called daily_forecast.
Whenever I had time, I adjusted my Conky's to it.

If you need something to shorten the time, then get in touch. I'm glad if I can help you too  smile

But for heaven's sake, don't say the name of the "company" out loud. Teo also thought we shouldn't wake sleeping dogs...   big_smile

Oh sure, it's in the subject, you and Teo quote it all the time and I'm not allowed to say it?

OK then, from now, to honour you, I shall refer to them:
Wetter.com
U-Bahn.com
GenauesWetter.com, und
Mond-Riesen.com

lol  devil

BTW choice is made and I added the Chance of Precipitation to the days as well.

I added a directory: /UVI to hold the images my {cough cough} S11_GenauesWetter_UVI.conky uses:

Teo, it seems to be working. I was desperate and already wanted to create another if_statement...  ops

I still have to observe it.
Thank you!
