How to synchronize time?

I want to check if the time in the operating system matches the time of the Internet and synchronize if it is not. How can I do that?

When installing, you set timezones, if systemtime shall be same as hardwaretime and which ntp-servers to syncroniize time with.

Here is a good waklthroug of "How To Set Up Time Synchronization on Debian 9"
