I use 'Konsole' for terminal windows. It has worked well in previous releases, but in the Helium release I am having display problems. I assume there is some way to configure Konsole from a text file, but I have never done that and I cannot find any documentation for a '.konsolerc' file.
I have always configured Konsole using the menus. My first problem with Helium is that the menu background and font colors are defaulting to 'black'. Thus, I have black on black and there is nothing to see in the menus, rending konsole useless. In previous releases, the default settings have been black font on grey background. So my first question is: How do I set the menu background color to grey?
The second problem, a minor one, is that in the past, there has been space between the menu items on the top horizontal bar. Currently, there is no spacing. It looks a bit weird, but it does work.
A third problem is that when tabs are created. The tab background color is black and the bar backgound color is also black. This too is a minor problem, but it does look better when there is a clear distinction between the bar and tabs.

A quick google gives me this: Konsole configuration files
IIRC konsole is a QT app, so maybe some of your problems are due to the theme you are using?

@damo - Thanks for the pointed. I checked out what is there. It will be useful to me in the future, but does not help in this case. I will check out QT documentation and hopefully that will help me with the current problem.
I will report back, probably sometime next week.

Please undestand that konsole is not part of a bunsenlabs install and, IMHO, not part of bunsenlabs philosophy either.
Since your request in this thread is solely about the functionality of this one software, it would be much better directed to a KDE-affiliated forum.
