By uploading a higher resolution version eg 1920x1080. @deadface presumably would like to use it for a desktop background, without the lo-res artifacts showing.

Re: Wallpapers

I'm pretty sure this is based on another wallpaper that has been around for a very long time (it might even have been created by a #! forums member). It's perfectly OK to remix that, but it's time to acknowledge the original creator I think.

Don't bother. Original creator is a douche anyway.

Re: Wallpapers

Stravinski started a Parisian riot with Rite of Spring, you know.

Imported into Inkscape, a one hundred layer color trace, embiggened to 3000px wide and exported to png...

image10.md.png

I am going to theme this, for sure. Semi-transparent purple windows.

-edit- I'll have to edit the logo out of the original and redo the trace, then add the color-matched svg logo in. Not tonight, though. tongue Also, that's the old logo, the new one has the flame over the "l" for a burner thingy.

Re: Wallpapers

A trip to the beer store on my bike, and my body is filled with fresh oxygen and fresh alcohol. A little more effort tonight, the high rez scan with no logo...

-edit- Oops, I was editing out the vector scan and leaving the raster original in both walls. Here is the no-logo vector wall...

Flowers3016d10cf1fb1774.md.png

This still needs a bit of work, I need to clone out the right-angle in the lower-right section. -edit- Done, copy/paste FTW. New image uploaded,

Re: Wallpapers

Gah, I managed to drag the whole image off center. I'll fix this later, obviously the beer has superseded the oxygen.

Re: Wallpapers

Can't find the original one I made. It's been what, 10 years? No idea where I put it. This is the only alternative with those flower strokes (alien spacecraft, lol) I managed to find in an old external drive; https://tmpfiles.org/download/26272/Flowers2.svg (updated)
Temp upload - expires after 120 minutes. Perhaps you can open the .svg in Inkscape or Illustrator and select/extract individual strokes, I dunno. You're free to re-upload to somewhere more permanent if you want. Was just me mucking about in inkscape trying to make something to match my conky config with (for the original #! openbox setup), iirc. No idea why that image stuck around for so long, tbh.

Yes, that would be my intent.  I am a pretty bad artist and rely on everyone else!!  I love that wallpaper.

Lightbulb. I had forgotten this was your image from way back. I crashed before you posted, I missed the download window.

You're right, pretty douchey. Sorry, buddy.

...and AFAIR you've always been so humble about your creations (of which I still have a few more - those flat, puke-coloured gtk2-themes among others...).
Anyhow, glad that's sorted.
And wasn't this stuff up on dA at some point? You disappeared from there?

Never on there in the first place. I believe some other #! members had accounts and put the themes/wallpapers up.

Vectorized, you could resize this to fit the wall of a building...

Clone out the watermark, done.

Right? That was a nice hi-res find, I thought. 1977 concept art by Ralph McQuarrie that helped Lucas convince 20th Century Fox to green-light Star Wars...
