no hostname resolution after starting up my machine

Just installed BunsenLabs on a spare partition:

I keep getting the message:

"unable to resolve host connection refused"

this is a laptop that I am trying to connect to a home router

loopback interface and enp0s3 are both up

Would like to get connected to internet via LAN.

Any help appreciated.

UPDATE: I am going to wipe my drive and reinstall.
