That scene with the two clones was awesome.

@misko_2083 - no, you want the other comic franchise.

Big upgrade form the 1960's original -

OT, Val Kilmer. Of course watch Tombstone, his best work to date, but also a small film called Thunderheart, it's one of my favorite movies. And of course his performance in Heat is iconic. Island of Dr. Moreau, lol! Batman, not as bad as the George Clooney film (not George's fault but the director's, I think). More recently, he was good in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and, surprisingly to me, has been working steadily since that role (on direct-to-video productions, though) despite increasing health issues...

Ever seen the French film La Jetée; Gilliam borrowed heavily from that (gives an opening or ending credit to the film, I think).

Mea culpa, Top Secret is hilarious, as is Top Gun! I have not seen (insert French title with weird accent here), I'll check it out on your recommendation.

The screenshot doesn't give a clue but the hint was very helpful.
Comics and 60's franchise.
It must have been Batman and Robin.

Re: Name the Movie (via movie "computer" scrot)

I haven't seen the Aflek films.

Great Adam West/Burt Ward pic! In something like 1st grade, my best friend's mom sewed him a Batman costume for Halloween, and my mom sewed me a Robin one. I remember seeing the fabric laid out across the electric Singer sewing machine. This would have been around 1969/'70.

I vividly remember that when we boarded the school bus that morning in full costume, all the kids clapped and cheered. What a surreal memory.

Man. The colors and lighting in that shot, I'm not sure "upgrade" is the right word.

That top-center screen looks heavily influenced by the 1982 arcade video game Zaxxon.

Re: Name the Movie (via movie "computer" scrot)

Thanks all so far.
There's a new Expanse book out (the series continues).
I did read the books (not the newest) & watch the series both.
Of course the books are better, but tons of credit go to the series for sticking to it, and visualising it in a way that not only does it full justice but even adds quality to it, IMO.

um. there must be half a dozen films with that exact plot big_smile

"Ze Jettee".
26 min of b/w stills with french commentary. Not sure you'd even call that a "movie". The story did not unfold itself in the 2 min I gave it. Sorry; might be just my impatience.

PS:
+1 for Moon - with its focus on retro sci-fi design it's practically made for this thread. That said it's also a very good movie; might bear a re-watch.

Having not read the books, its good to hear they did the books justice, i suppose that would be why they have such a good following.

Yes that plot has been used a few times, but there is a pretty severe plot twist with Pandorum. One thing i came away from seeing that one was how loud it was, they must have turned the treble up to a ridiculous number when filming.

Intriguing.
Two pretending to be casino employees are hacking Who Ting Feng. smile
That women is dressed as a card dealer.
Baldie's secret identity could be a bartender.
They worked undercover and got Fengs's location at the casino.
Possibly at the bar from an oil tycoon Hubert H. Humphrey, or hhh as his friends call him.
The two agents didn't had the time to change the clothes so they must be in a hurry to catch Feng.
Feng likes to gamble, but he should have avoided Martini at the bar. smile

don't bother guessing; it's from a bad german documentary infotainment.
but do you think the wallpaper on the right monitor is enough to identify it as ubuntu?
and the left - nano with a green scheme? or hackertyper?

Would have never guessed.
It looked like an episode from Las Vegas series.
Somehow most of the new films are predictable. I get bored watching because I can predict what is about to happen before it happens in the film.

*Ohnonot is that from the TV show Galileo?
The wallpaper is Ubuntu's. The panel is a little older. Ubuntu 6.06 or 8.04. The left screen could be nano.
