OT, Val Kilmer. Of course watch Tombstone, his best work to date, but also a small film called Thunderheart, it's one of my favorite movies. And of course his performance in Heat is iconic. Island of Dr. Moreau, lol! Batman, not as bad as the George Clooney film (not George's fault but the director's, I think). More recently, he was good in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and, surprisingly to me, has been working steadily since that role (on direct-to-video productions, though) despite increasing health issues...

Brazil is of course correct.
Tery Gilliam did some really good films.
Here's a computery scrot from 12 Monkeys (1995).
And then there's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (the film title alone deserves a reward). Starring Johnny Depp when he still knew how to act differently than Jack Sparrow. Really requires a video clip, not just a still.

Of course its "The Expanse" loved that tv series, waiting for the next season, apparently amazon picked it up after the syfy channel ditched it. Will have to do some online searching and see where they are at. Did not read the books though, i hear they are good, better maybe than the tv series of course. The detective was Joe Miller.

Mea culpa, Top Secret is hilarious, as is Top Gun! I have not seen (insert French title with weird accent here), I'll check it out on your recommendation.

Great Adam West/Burt Ward pic! In something like 1st grade, my best friend's mom sewed him a Batman costume for Halloween, and my mom sewed me a Robin one. I remember seeing the fabric laid out across the electric Singer sewing machine. This would have been around 1969/'70.

I vividly remember that when we boarded the school bus that morning in full costume, all the kids clapped and cheered. What a surreal memory.

Man. The colors and lighting in that shot, I'm not sure "upgrade" is the right word.

Thanks all so far.
There's a new Expanse book out (the series continues).
I did read the books (not the newest) & watch the series both.
Of course the books are better, but tons of credit go to the series for sticking to it, and visualising it in a way that not only does it full justice but even adds quality to it, IMO.

Having not read the books, its good to hear they did the books justice, i suppose that would be why they have such a good following.

Yes that plot has been used a few times, but there is a pretty severe plot twist with Pandorum. One thing i came away from seeing that one was how loud it was, they must have turned the treble up to a ridiculous number when filming.
