March 2019 Screenshot Thread

Welcome to the monthly BL Screenshot thread! We hope it inspires you to customize your dekstop.

Please use thumbnails. Do not embed images larger than approx 250x250px (62,500px) into posts, use thumbnails linking to a hosted image instead. Thanks!

We recommend https://scrot.moe (free registration required) for image uploads. After uploading your image, click "Embed codes" and copy/paste the "Thumbnail image (linked) BBCode" at the bottom of the page, done.

To open the posted scrot.moe thumbnail fullscreen in Firefox, scroll down to the Download icon on the right (next to Like and Share), right-click it and choose "Open Link in New Tab" to open the screenshot in a new browser tab, then switch to that tab.

scrot.moe was created and is maintained by our very own mrneilypops, a long-time forum member.  Thank you very much, mrneilypops!

In that terminal (xfce4-terminal) it's Roboto Mono. I also like Fira Code.

Re: March 2019 Screenshot Thread

Hi @hhh, BL-Moonlight is an incredible and nice theme, good job !! smile

As a suggestion, for the theme Gtk3 maybe it needs some change for the button to maximize the window.

In what way? Suggestions/examples please?

The window buttons are supplied by Openbox, not the gtk:  you can always copy the images from a theme you like ( <theme>/openbox-3/ *.xbm )

I guess he's talking about the mismatch between the "normal" GTK2 close button and that weird orange anomaly. oomox, what can I say? GTK theming sucks, but hack away my friend.

Re: March 2019 Screenshot Thread

Hi all, thanks for your replies @damo and @hhh.

I try explain myself better.

The first, it isn't the button to maximize is the button close. Sorry for that sad

And yes @hhh I'm talking about the mismatch between the "normal" GTK2 close button and that weird orange anomaly.

But the problem isn't GTK2 close button. It's GTK3, because I'm using Evince PDF, so it's a program for GTK3.

Evince.md.png

Ok, for fix that, it's necesary change the from orange close icon to blue close icon for example. Normaly GTK3 theme has the folder assets and them we can change those icons,

iconclose.md.png

and the result for the GTK3 programs should be,

iconblue.md.png

but in this case, we can't do that, because your theme is build and it has a binary file called gtk.gresource.

gtk.md.png

So I suppose than for fix that, it's necesary to do those changes and build the theme again.

And that's it.

Thank you and regards,
