Actually I use it on a windows 7 installation that I use as a sort of backup machine, it's an old lenovo thinkcentre. I use that for when my main computer (a big beast of an i7 quadcore) is out of action due to cleaning out the dust or making hardware changes etc.
I never tried it on windows 10 yet, mainly because I rarely boot into win 10 except to play star trek online. I used to be on the blackbox4windows forums a lot for a little while but then sort of drifted away. I was looking at some posts i made there for the first time in a couple of years.
I was over there seeing what the challenges would be of getting it to work with windows 10
I think I drifted away because I may have tried it on win 10 and failed, I dont know
I find it difficult to remember what I did last week never mind 2 or 3 years ago hahaha

I was VERY impressed with that theme and layout of yours it looked great
Ill try showing you a couple of my themes I made over there if I can find them

If there was one thing I could really change in BL, it would be to migrate from tint2 to xfce4-panel in deskbar mode. So much easier to configure.

Actually I have been using xfce for about 3 years and wanted to get back to openbox again.
I use BlackBox for windows on my windows computers

You can use xfce-panel with any window manager, I believe. Use the --no-recommends switch when installing it and it won't drag any more of Xfce in with it...

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends xfce4-panel

No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!

I always thought that defeated the point of openbox. Whenever I get bored of openbox I go to xfce but I find it just as cumbersome and odd looking on my screen as gnome or something like that. when I get bored of xfce i go to openbox.I sort of hover between the two but dont like mixing them

Not sure if this still fits in this thread, after its slight change of topic along the way.
But on the topic of dmenu there are two nice videos I liked, because they show unusual (at least to me) uses of dmenu:

dmenu: Your own Custom Script Menus!

and

dmenu tips: Emojis and more

Before I encountered these, I only thought of dmenu as a nice and simple program starter.

Re: Can someone help me start with dmenu, please

^ nice tutorials there.
this guy sure knows his dmenu.
but that's the good thing about dmenu and the whole suckless line of products:
they are very simplistic, but the longer you use them the more you realise that each has exactly the options required to be as useful as possible.
