Clonezilla question

I just ordered a new SSD and wouldn't mind putting my Bunsenlabs installation onto that.
My plan is to clone this hard drive (a mechanical HD) drive using clonezilla and then to restore the image onto the new SSD. Will that work, sufficiently to boot Bunsenlabs ?

fsarchiver is a good simple commandline tool for drive archives. The commands you need to save and restore are given by

fsarchiver --help

It can't be run on the booted partition itself, but you can run it from a live session.

You will need to change /etc/fstab to match the new location though, including any new UUID for a swap partition. A way to do that is to boot a live usb, and edit it from there, using the values you get from the blkid command.

Yes. Clonezilla will work perfectly provided the image fits onto the ssd. (essentially provided you are not reducing the hard drive size)
