[Solved] Screen tearing when watching full-screen videos

I'm using Firefox 63 and I'm noticing screen tearing issues for full-screen videos. This happens on various platforms. I used to have issues with scrolling, too, but this was fixed by enabling vsync in ~/.config/compton.conf. Any idea what else to try? I'm on a Thinkpad x230 with integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Can you install inxi and report the output of

inxi -G

as a standard user?  This will show some info about the graphics situation and whether you're using the modesetting or "intel" driver.
