No sound through HDMI

Hey all, I installed BL in an old Acer Revo 3600. The original model so to speak, which AFAIK was the first device shipping with an Nvidia ION.

I don-t have the device connected to the internet at the moment, so I apologise for providing pictures of my terminal emulator.

As you can see, aplay does find the desired device (I think). But it doesn't show up on the sound mixer. Do I need to manually add it to pnmixer config? how?

I searched about this prior to posting, but the documentation mostly cover some old soundmixer called volti.
