Re: [GAVE_UP] New firefox-esr on ubuntu-based distro on ARM?

What does "uname -a" say about the kernel's architecture?

it says aarch64.
but there's many packages installed that carry the :armhf suffix, and none that carries (or even mentions) aarch64.

Re: [GAVE_UP] New firefox-esr on ubuntu-based distro on ARM?

The mozillateam PPA now has armhf 16.04 builds of Firefox-esr 60.2.1:

http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/pp … refox-esr/

https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

as well as arm64, s390, and other less common platforms.

Re: [GAVE_UP] New firefox-esr on ubuntu-based distro on ARM?

^ cool, thanks for the info!
i added the sources and am trying to pin it to a lower priority, just to be safe.
is that recommendable?

/etc/apt/preferences:

Package: *
Pin: release o=LP-PPA-mozillateam
Pin-Priority: 100

and

apt-get install -t LP-PPA-mozillateam firefox-esr
