I have a dual-boot system and very rarely login to Windows, but I logged in today and somehow something broke. Needless to say, this has never happened before.
Now, when trying to boot back into BL, I get an error: "Found ext4 filesystem with invalid k checksum."
I tried searching online for help and ran fsck.ext4 /dev/sda5, which seemed to do something, but ultimately didn't solve the problem as the partition is still failing to mount.
Can anyone give me instructions on resolving this? Trying not to lose my data or reinstall the whole system (again).
Thanks!

Update: I was able to log on after running fsck.ext4 on sda5 and sda7.
However, It's my understanding that the superblocks are going to get corrupted every time I log into Windows. I don't know what has prompted this issue, as it was never a problem before.
Anyone with an idea of what might be causing this and how it might be fixed?

That sounds really strange! Maybe you could try booting into Windows again and see if it occurs again. Maybe it has something to do with the Windows fast boot mechanic?
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disa … st-startup This should tell you how to disable it if it is causing the problem. It’s a mighty annoying website though.

^ yes, that.
It's my understanding that the superblocks are going to get corrupted every time I log into Windows.
can't you just test that hypothesis?
backup first, of course.
