I could not boot Bunsen without my intervention, as I only got a black screen with no grub screen. Upon opening the drive using another nix (Ubuntu), I noticed that there was only a grub.cfg in /boot/grub. There were no other associated files or folders so I did a grub-install --force --no-floppy --boot-directory=/media/ubuntu/BUNSEN /dev/sdb to the mounted drive and the associated files and folders appeared along with the grub.cfg: booted no problem after that. The installer did give me an option to install grub elsewhere but it seemed not to complete the process.
Otherwise, this is a really slick project. Running Ubuntu on an Asus eeepc 1015pe single core atom (though it is 64 bit) was somewhat lethargic. Bunsen really makes the machine usable.

The installer used by BunsenLabs is the upstream Debian version so any bug reports should be filed with Debian.
Please provide more details of the selections made during the installation process and the specifics of your drive configuration.

I actually don't remember exactly what all the selections were, although the installation was to an SD card listed on sdc. After it finished installing the system, It identified Windows 10 on the hard drive sda and wanted to install grub there, but gave options to install it to sdb and sdc. sdb was the install media, so I chose sdc as the target where the system was just installed. Oddly, the grub.cfg was correct because once I manually installed grub from Ubuntu to the SD card, the proper Bunsen generated grub menu came up. Also, Since my machine still booted Windows 10 without grub, and the install media still booted, I ruled out that it installed to another drive. It just didn't install these directories: fonts, i386-pc, locale, and the file grubenv: files grub.cfg and unicode.pf2 were created during the install. I'm not a Debian dude directly. I have been using Ubuntu since 2006 so I am familiar with the packaging system but not the ins and outs of Debian. I am sure I can search around for where and how to file a bug. For Ubuntu it is Launchpad. Direct root for me to do as you suggest?
