Nerd fonts, how to install?

I'am trying to install this
https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts … nsMono.zip
to be used as my urxvt font, but no luck so far. Any clues? (So far droping stuff to ~/.fonts was magical enough).

Re: Nerd fonts, how to install?

Not sure why you'd want to use the PostScript name, I'm just using the regular font family name like so (my actual config):

URxvt.font: xft:Fantasque Sans Mono:style=Regular:size=15,\

                                    xft:DejaVu Serif
URxvt.boldFont: xft:Fantasque Sans Mono:style=Bold,\
                                    xft:DejaVu Sans Mono:style=bold,\
                                    xft:DejaVu Serif:style=bold

Does a plain/less sophisticated `fc-list` query list Fantasque (or whatever this patched version does)?

Do not forget to xrdb ~/.Xdefaults or so after changing the URXVT font  but I'm assuming you already know that.

fc-list does show the font and I know about xrdb, will try some other location perhaps. Besides postscript name I have tried the other name as well, but no luck so far.
p.s. Other fonts (like Monaco), that are also in ~/.fonts are working well with urxvt, for example

URxvt.font: xft:Monaco:size=10

or

URxvt.font: xft:OCRA:size=10
