Please use thumbnails!
Do not embed images larger than approx 250x250px (62,500px) into posts, use thumbnails linking to a hosted image instead. Thanks!
We recommend https://scrot.moe for image uploads. After uploading your image, click "Embed codes" and copy/paste the "Thumbnail image (linked) BBCode" at the bottom of the page, done.
To open the linked scrot fullscreen in Firefox, scroll down to the Download icon on the right (next to Like and Share), right-click it and choose "Open Link in New Tab" to open the screenshot in a new browser tab, then switch to that tab. Done.
scrot.moe was created and is maintained by our very own mrneilypops, a long-time forum member. Thank you very much, mrneilypops!

I did not know this. Thank you for sharing!
Still not sure how to post a more slower connection friendly sized scrot here though.

Lol, it's been included in the OP for months now!

Don't worry about it. They're image files, some overhead is to be expected.
I've dumped pnmixer and have backported xenial's xfce4-volumed package...
Pro tip: I hotlink my thumbnails by going back to the embed codes and copying the second-from-the-top url (Direct links>Image URL) and pasting it over the existing initial URL forum-code. Sorry, MrNeilyPops!

Depends on language settings (for me it is V, for example).
Fixed:
right-click it and choose "Open Link in New Tab"
or just
click it

Ditto. Wonder if compton would get forked at some point. What if BL can create a fork of it?

KaOS quicky vbox test.
Mostly thinking about quasi UX/UI design axioms. I'am starting to think that it is about 'what is one willing to tolerate to keep it pretty'. For example the elementary term is really pretty, but on the long run I would not tolerate all the space taken by gtk decorations. Same for pdf reader for example (So that's the stage of actual usability that will certainly prevail on the long run).
Another concept mentioned by hhh is 'uniform desktop' I believe? Well Plasma is certainly doing it (since there is version of almost anything that has a k* version), but elementary would probably fail on 1st alien install. Still on the long run I would probably pick elementary due to being slightly faster and a lot simpler to look at (that is if this two would be the only choices).
The search icon in elementary (that tenis racket on top left of screen that suddenly jumps to right on window decorations) is also an interesting quasi-not-axiom (gmrun wins here by a tight margin (missing find button)).
Similar in KaOS there is a hamburger menu acting as not-axiom (Don't remember what it does, some sort of menu I guess).
Openbox menu wins every time imho, mouse doesn't have to travel far and it's single click to open and it presents itself really really fast.
