Good idea, I think I will...
Plasma 5.13 is nearly flawless. Goodbye, GNOME. Seriously, gnome-shell is crap compared to this.

Yes KDE has indeed come a long long way but how is it’s performance lately? I remember when KDE 3.5 was real fast and KDE 4.x was rather dicey. Considering taking KDE for another spin atop BL.

That does look nice. Haven't tried kde for many years. Downloading Manjaro kde...

@hhh - that looks good; pretty much default?
Default KDE Neon, yes. A few tweaks, all done via the various settings GUIs. Panel to the left side, theme change from Breeze to Breeze-Dark, enable inactive-window transparency and a little background blur, hide the stupid chicklet in the upper right corner. Done.
The dark theme is amazing, every app that needs a white background (firefox, gimp, text-editors) gets one inside of a dark frame, and apps that don't (Dolphin, VLC) stay completely dark. I'd love to know how they did that, I'll check the theme files when I have a day.
Resources? You can see, it's not outrageous, and it seems like RAM is well used, everything is smooth and predictable. Like I said, I'm impressed. As soon as 5.13 hits Debian, I'm running it.

Compare, a BL install (stripped a bit, it's almost all pure debian here, and upgraded to buster), with comparable compton transparencies...
Better RAM usage, but not so great that you wouldn't consider KDE if you had 3G RAM or more (or even 2G). Plus, I had to tweak compton and other configs manually, Plasma was a few clicks in a few GUI settings.
-edit- I know, mine's better, isn't it?

Some more modules added to polybar and a matching Sublime Text theme.
Still a W.I.P. as I figure out colours.

BL buster running KDE Plasma 5.12...
I'm not sure why nm-applet isn't displayed. A missing panel widget? Internet via WiFi is working fine, though.
-edit- The systray network icon is fixed by installing plasma-nm and rebooting.
